Hunter Dees, CKA®
Founder

Invest with a purpose. That isn’t simply a slogan at Genesis Investments; it is founder Hunter Dees’ stewardship mission.

After spending six years with a Fortune 100 investment firm to start his financial services career, Hunter was inspired to open his own firm in 2020 because he recognized that God gave him a heart for people and helping them make wise decisions about the allocation of their resources. By emphasizing faith-based investing approaches, biblical stewardship, tax efficiencies and charitable-giving strategies, Hunter lives his mission of helping clients develop a plan and purpose for their wealth.

A member of Kingdom Advisors, which helps financial professionals integrate their faith into their practice, Hunter can offer investment and insurance products and services. He has passed his Series 7 and 66 securities exams, obtained his life and annuity insurance licenses and also is a graduate of both Tennessee Wesleyan University and Liberty University. Hunter earned his bachelor’s degree from TWU and a master’s in theological studies from Liberty.

Hunter and his wife, Samantha, live in Ooltewah and have two beautiful daughters, Camdyn and Olivia, who bring them great joy. When he isn’t serving clients or spending time with his family, Hunter enjoys playing golf and serving at their church.

At Genesis, Mack enjoys the flexibility to help families who are interested in faith-based investment options as well as a wide array of traditional investment options. Mack sees faith-based investing as a powerful way for Christians to align their investments with their faith.

Michele’s approach to helping clients mirrors her approach to life: “There is no time like the present.”  It’s a mantra that encapsulates her proactive and detail-oriented approach to serving her clients.

Before joining the Genesis team, Michele has worked for 15 years in the financial industry and been licensed as a registered representative for the past 10 years.  She has also served as a global missionary for almost 10 years and currently serves as a pastor’s wife at Cornerstone Apostolic Church here in Chattanooga.  Michele enjoys leading and participating in various ministries.  She has a personal vision to grow daily so she can serve others and make a positive difference.

Michele lives in Apison with her husband of 36 years, Raymond.  The couple is blessed with a lovely family that includes their two children, their spouses and are now proud grandparents.  In her free time, Michele loves the outdoors and enjoys walking, hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Mel
Mel Hill
Director of Client Relations

Early in her career, Mel quickly discovered that helping others was not only her driving force, but it was what ultimately gave her the greatest satisfaction and fulfillment.  With a commitment to excellence and a true desire to help others, she constantly seeks ways to meet clients exactly where they are.  She strives to remove any fear or emotion for clients when it comes to investing and wants them to have peace when making financial decisions.  For Mel, the clients’ best interests always come first.

Joining the financial industry in 2009, Mel earned both her Series 7 license in 2012 and her Series 66 in 2013.  Much of her career has centered around helping others easily prepare for and navigate through transitions such as retirement, job changes, and the death of loved ones.  She gained her Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Kennesaw State University.

Mel and her husband Jeff have been married over 23 years.  They were blessed with their daughter Emily, and the family enjoys life on a 35-acre hobby farm in Walker County, GA.  Much of their time is spent with their church family at Gordan Lake Wesleyan Church in LaFayette, GA.  Both Jeff and Mel come from close-knit families, so it is no surprise that spending time with family and friends is Mel’s absolute favorite pastime.  She also enjoys traveling and any creative project, especially quilt making.
